Website and public demo

The site has no DaemonView account signup, analytics script or advertising tracker. Its hosting provider may maintain ordinary access and security logs, including IP addresses and requested pages. The live demo contains only synthetic records. Demo edits live in tab memory and reset on refresh. The demo does not ask for your API keys or accept private dataset imports.

The sample globe loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap. Those requests reveal ordinary connection information to that provider. Links to other providers open their own websites, under their own policies.

Installed app

Records, cases, notes, saved searches, alerts and evidence are stored in a local SQLite database. DaemonView does not upload that database to this website. The installed app connects to the providers you enable; those providers receive the requests, credentials and query parameters needed for their services.

Custom connector keys are encrypted using Windows DPAPI for the current Windows account and are not returned to the app interface after saving. The inherited globe provider setup stores private provider settings in a locally protected environment file. Some map-provider tokens must be sent to the browser; restrict them through the provider’s controls.

The record database is not encrypted by this application. Exported dossiers and backups contain the records you chose to preserve. Store and share them accordingly.

Network and lifecycle

The local service binds to the loopback interface. The desktop renderer uses a sandbox with Node integration disabled and context isolation enabled. External websites open in the system browser after you confirm the destination. The local service stops when the desktop app closes. Provider refreshes run only while the service is running.

Removal

Uninstall removes application files and shortcuts. The workspace data folder is preserved so that uninstalling or updating does not erase investigations. Find the folder from the app’s Workspace menu before uninstalling if you also want to remove it manually.
